Mage Skills-
Alchemy is a very important skill for a magical character. A powerful Alchemist can make many potions that fortify and restore magicka so they can keep casting away at their enemies.

Conjuration is an extremely powerful skill to have later in the game, as you will be able to summon very powerful creatures, such as Daedroths, to assist you. Make sure to use conjuration spells often early on so you will be able to reach master level sooner in the game.

Mysticism
is an important skill for any that use enchanted weapons, since it includes the soul trap spell that allows you to recharge your weapons using soul gems. Also, it can be useful to thieves, as it includes many spells that detect life.

Alteration is an important skill for characters that are lacking in other skills, since it can be used to do things such as open locks and breathe under water. It can also be useful for those with low strength, as it includes Feather spells that allow you to carry additional weight.

Destruction is useful for obvious reasons. It is the powerhouse of all of the magic skills. Destruction includes spells that cause direct damage to enemies.

Restoration
is important for all types of characters, as it is one of the two main ways to heal yourself or allies (among other effects). Restoration should be a major skill of every character.

Illusion spells include some of the most useful spells in the game (such as invisibility) that can get you out of a tricky situation and save a lot of frustration. Would you rather sneak your way through a dungeon swarming with guards, getting caught every two seconds, or comfortably sprint through to your objective while invisible?

Combat Skills-
Athletics is the training of speed and endurace to allow to you to run and swim faster, as well as use more attacks without getting as fatigued too quickly.

Blade is the use of sharpened weapons in very close combat. They can either be your greatest strength or weakness.

Blunt is using powerful hammers and axes in close combat. They fly slowly but ultimately cause much damage.

Hand to Hand
is the use of punches and kicks to inflict damage. Isn't it great to have a weapon that never gets ruined?

Armorer
is using the skill to repair your weapons and armor to keep them lasting longer and keep them strong. This is a great skill to know if you are into a business.

Block is quite simply using your weapon or shield to deflect attacks. There's no greater defense than a shield.

Heavy Armor is a very high weight, strong armor that deflects a lot of damage. Be cautious, though, as this armor can severely stunt your speed.

Stealth Skills-
Acrobatics is the use of jumping to avoid attacks or get up close to your target unseen. You can also leap from higher distances without hurting yourself.

Light Armor is very light weight armor that eventually turns into your "second skin". It isn't the greatest defense, but it is still much better than running around in cloth.

Security
is basically a polite word for lock-picking. Throughout the world you will find lockpicks on creatures (goblins and bandits tend to drop them, for example) and in chests. These can be used to pick locks on chests and doors that you will find everywhere.

Sneak allows you move around undetected, pick pockets, and do more damage to targets that do not notice you.

Marksman is the art of using bows and arrows. There are no crossbows or other ranged weapons in the game. While the trajectory of the arrow is predetermined and marksman skill doesn't change your accuracy, it significantly increases the damage of a ranged attack.

Mercantile skill allows you to sell goods to merchants for more while buying for less. (Ties in with Speechcraft)

Speechcraft affects disposition, i.e., how people react to you and how much they like you. Speechcraft can also be used to lower the disposition of some NPCs below their aggression rating as an alternative to a Frenzy spell. (Helps with Mercantile)

All I'm going to do is raise to font size of the titles. The "Combat," "Mage," and "Stealth" things must be bigger! xD

Darn! I knew I had forgotten something. Oh well, I added Athletics so all is well now. ^-^

Aren't you glad I'm so OCD and I notice those things? xD
